ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)

ICSI is an advanced IVF technique where a single sperm is injected directly into each mature egg. It dramatically improves outcomes in cases of male-factor infertility.

Who is ICSI for?

  • Very low sperm count or motility
  • Abnormal sperm morphology
  • Previous failed IVF fertilisation
  • Surgically retrieved sperm (TESA/PESA)

How is it different from IVF?

In standard IVF, sperm and eggs are placed together and fertilisation happens naturally in the dish. In ICSI, the embryologist injects sperm directly ÔÇö bypassing barriers that low-quality sperm cannot cross on their own.
