General

IVF (in-vitro fertilisation) is an assisted reproductive technique where eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilised with sperm in the laboratory. The resulting embryos are cultured for 3ÔÇô5 days and then transferred back into the uterus.

IVF may be recommended if you have blocked fallopian tubes, severe male-factor infertility, endometriosis, unexplained infertility after 1 year of trying, or have not conceived after other treatments such as IUI.
Lifestyle

A balanced diet, regular moderate exercise, stopping smoking, limiting alcohol, getting 7ÔÇô8 hours of sleep, and managing stress all support better outcomes. Folic acid supplementation is recommended for women.
Process

A typical cycle takes about 4ÔÇô6 weeks: 2 weeks of ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, 3ÔÇô5 days of embryo culture, then embryo transfer. A pregnancy test follows 10ÔÇô14 days after transfer.

Usually 1ÔÇô2 embryos based on your age, embryo quality, and prior history. Single-embryo transfer is preferred to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies, especially in younger patients.
Success

Success rates depend on age, diagnosis and embryo quality. We share clinic-specific live-birth rates by age band during your consultation so you can make an informed decision.
